Before the age of man, Angels roamed the Earth. Among them, there was a dark presence that corrupted their unity. This "Dark Angel" thrived on the hatred and fear that tempted this council of Angels and was thereby condemned to imprisonment deep within the Earth. Thousands of years passed.

The age of mankind came and soon fell victim to the ease of corruption and sin embodying the negative energy seeping from the darkness deep within each of us. This weakness empowered the Dark Angel, freeing it from it's Earthly tomb.

Free to move imperceptibly among us, influencing us in the form of thoughts and hateful energy, this "Entity" sought a more tangible source of power. A gifted man named Collin Pritchard was the doorway to this power. Imprisoned in 1875 for his misunderstood gifts, Collin grew hateful and could not fight the temptation of revenge on those who had allowed him to be locked up. He sat alone and cold in a psychiatric center on Buckman's Ridge in the small town of Autumn Hills.

A presence soon visited Collin in the form of a disembodied voice promising vengeance on those who had imprisoned him. The voice of the Entity promised revenge in Collin's image... a force that would visit the people of Autumn Hills with Collin's face and form. A single touch from this Entity would bring the deepest hatred out of its victim in such a powerful way that they would destroy themselves from the inside and die a hideously cold and pale death... a death in Collin's image.

In return for this vengeance, the Entity condemned Collin and all those he had ever touched or helped with his psychic gift... to relive life after life as the same person, forever struggling to find contentment and resolution to their disturbed souls.

Bridget Avers is the only person who has remembered the touch of the Entity from life to life and now seeks to stop its destructive reign over Autumn Hills. Once close to total abandonment, Autumn Hills has begun to grow in population after a century of struggling with the plague that the Entity has poisoned the town with. Now as the population grows once again, so does darkness that hides in each of us. Now the Entity has returned to thrive once again on this dark energy and once again seeks to destroy the people of Autumn Hills.
